Čo je to adresa IPv6?
Každý pravdepodobne počul o IP adrese. Veľmi málo ľudí vie, čo je to adresa IPv6. Vysvetlíme, o čo vlastne ide a na čo je potrebný nový štandard.
Adresa IPv6 a IPv4: aký je rozdiel?
Na prístup na internet sú potrebné adresy IP. Preto je každému zariadeniu pridelené jedno zariadenie hneď po vytvorení pripojenia na internet.
- Podľa štandardu IPv4 pozostávajú zvyčajné adresy IP až z 12 číslic - napríklad 2, 280, 197, 209. Nový štandard IPv6 pozostáva až z 32 znakov.
- Keďže s protokolom IPv4 je možné len približne 4, 3 miliardy kombinácií a počet používateľov internetu sa zvyšuje, je potrebný nový štandard. S IPv6 je možných okolo 340 sextiliónov kombinácií.
- Od roku 2012 bol nový systém zavedený aj pre nemeckých používateľov internetu. Do roku 2015 sa má IPv4 v Nemecku úplne nahradiť IPv6. Platí to pre pripojenia DSL aj pre mobilnú sieť.
- Normálny používateľ nemá žiadne zmeny. Iba veľmi staré smerovače mohli mať problémy s protokolom IPv6 a museli by byť nahradené.
- Vynára sa otázka, prečo nestačí 4, 3 miliardy IP adries: Predpokladá sa, že o niekoľko rokov bude k internetu pripojených omnoho viac zariadení, ako je tomu dnes. Chladničky, hodiny a autá - všetko sa dá pripojiť na internet. Ak predpokladáte, že každý obyvateľ sveta pripája každý deň na internet niekoľko zariadení, možnosti protokolu IPv4 už nie sú dostatočné.

- Záver: IPv6 bude potrebný už o niekoľko rokov, vzhľadom na rastúce využívanie internetu. Používatelia sa však nemusia báť a zmeny si len ťažko všimnú.
